- A person finds it difficult to recognize people and objects which is also called as Prosopagnosia.
- Wernicke’s Aphasia or finding it hard to understand words that are spoken.
- Short-term or long-term loss of memory.
- Either lack of interest or over excitement in sexual behavior.
- Lack of ability to place objects in different categories.
- Talking continuously about something or the other.
- Increased aggressiveness and anger.
Symptoms of TBI when the Brain Stem is injured are:
- A decrease in the capacity to breathe while speaking.
- Difficulty in swallowing food and water.
- Problems with the perception of the surrounding environment.
- Feeling dizzy and nauseous.
- Sleeping disorders like sleeplessness (insomnia), over sleepiness.
Symptoms of TBI when the Occipital Lobe is injured are:
- Improper functioning of the vision.
- Problems with the identification of colors which is also known as Color Agnosia.
- Illusion of objects, hallucinations and problems in determining the movement of an object.
- A person finds it difficult to read, write, draw and also fails to recognize words and drawings.
Symptoms of TBI when the Cerebellum is injured are:
- There is a complete loss of the walking ability.
- A person is not able to reach and hold an object.
- Lack of reflex actions and inability to move quickly.
- Vertigo or dizziness and tremors.
