Objects on which a person may trip like clutters and rugs should be removed from the walking area in the house. In the bathtub and on floors of the shower, there should be nonslip mats. Also, grab bars should be installed in the toilets, bathrooms and tubs. Handrails should be installed on both sides of a staircase for support.
  • Children should be protected from falls and eventually from head injury. Window guards should be installed so that children don’t fall. There should be safety gates at the top and bottom of stairs to prevent children from falling. Also, shaking small children should be avoided because the child can be affected by a head injury.
  • Traumatic brain injuries are also caused due to child abuse practice. Taking strict measures against child abuse is important for the prevention of TBI.
